| Here's a lovely Gibson ES-335 Dot re-issue (ESDT335) from 2002 - serial number is 02952743. These re-issues are nice and accurate, right down to the nickel-plated hardware which ages nicely to a vintage patina, unlike chrome-plated fittings which never quite look right. The nickel plating on this example is just starting to 'age' in this way. This is a great-sounding and great-playing example of the ES-335, a model I find possibly more variable than any other Gibson model in this regard. The original frets display no wear, and likewise the Rosewood fretboard is pristine. The original ebony finish is in good condition, with some light handling and playing marks on the back, but no chips, scratches or scrapes. This has been a much-loved and cared-for guitar, and is very low-mileage. Weight is 3.9kg (8.6 lbs), and the neck is a comfortable mid profile; not chunky '50s, but most certainly not super-slim '60s. Nut width is 43mm, and neck is 53mm wide at the 12th fret. I love it! It comes with its original deluxe Gibson tan hard shell case.
